Sometimes my life feels like a train...
speeding thru a land of endless repitition...
towards a fianl destiny...
that I can not control...
Dear God!
Have you no mercy for me?
My soul is barren...
void of all content...
my fellow passengers empty, robotic...
or cruel and unfeeling...
You can't kill me. We are already dead...
hurtling thru space, to where we know not...
cant you see that your lives are meaningless?
Adrift as we are in a hollow charade...?
We are foot soldiers locked in a mad race toward...
the abyss...
the sky above is filled with omens...
we charge ever forward
in a waltz of despair...
only to wind up unsteady, uncertain...
endlessly chasing that runaway train...
over and over we pass that same mountain...
until a chance to grasp fate we encounter...
only to find it elusive, transparent...
then once again we are back on that railway...
speeding thru a land
of endless repetition
again...
and again...
THE END
Merrill Markoe interprets the existential dilemma inherent in all Quick Draw McGraw cartoons and life. The lyrics and Quickdraw McGraw are all Markoe. Music and sound effects are by Andy Prieboy. Inspiration from Hannah Barbara, Peter Lorre in "M".
